Years ago, I had a Danish friend who used to go home and bring back salty licorice and it's cousin "hot" licorice that had some sort of hot pepper in it. It's an acquired taste, but I loved it--and I don't like regular sweet licorice at all. I tried to get my husband to eat it in Solvang (a Danish-themed town near Santa Barbara, CA), but he didn't like it either. Like you, I'd say "more for me!"
