First things first. What do you call a group of squirrels? A scurry. A scurry of squirrels. How perfect is that?

Hi, I’m Plunkett. It’s been a minute, eh? Exactly six months by my count, from when I published an article about opening day at my Cypress Café.

Life’s been good. In early spring we welcomed our baby, Grey, into the world, and he’s been growing like a whole thicket of weeds. He learned to forage right on schedule at 10 weeks; and, now that he’s a teenager, both his climbing and social skills have been improving. Notice I said climbing and social, not social climbing. We squirrels take pride in our egalitarianism.

Today I’m here to introduce you to my family, my pride and joy.
