I love this, too.

On Medium, I don’t do marketing. I do reading. I do praising. I do taking-part-in-a-community-that-shares-a-passion. It’s not a chore. If a clap turns into someone reading my work and me earning money, then great. If it doesn’t, I’ve still read a story that I enjoyed. The worst case scenario is still a net gain.
