I hear you! After dieting for decades, including through the "wellness" period, I finally stopped. It took 2-3 years to finally stop counting points or calories in my head, to finally be able to own a big meal or a piece of cake without feeling overwhelmed by guilt. From time to time it still kicks in, but now I don't read the nutrition labels and don't count calories to put myself to sleep. I eat what I want when I want. And my weight's been about the same for three years and I'm mostly happy about my looks but always happy I'm free of the diet chains.
