Great article, thanks.
I've run the LA Marathon twelve or thirteen times. One of my favorite parts is West Hollywood, around mile 14-15 of the race . There, on Santa Monica Blvd, a dozen or so gorgeous drag queens are the best possible fuel for the tough miles to go because they are there to support and cheer us on. And, oh, by the way, thousands of middle- and high-school kids run the LA Marathon each year as part of the Students Run LA challenge, and not only have those sweet, loving drag queens done anything remotely inappropriate to those kids--I can't believe I even have to say that--but they've been nothing but lovely and supportive to everyone, especially those kids.
