Feeling A Bit Fluffy Around The Middle Lately?

Fixing it may be easier than you think

More around the middle

I’ve been feeling atypically blubbery these past four or five days. To clarify, not blubbery as in ugly-crying jags complete with snot and pufferfish eyes. Blubbery as in fluffy around the middle. Pillsbury dough-boyish. Michelin Man-esque. Stay-Puft marshmallow-like. Apple-shaped. Zaftig. Rubenesque.

To be clear, there is nothing wrong with these body shapes. I repeat: nothing. Bodies come in all shapes like they come in all different heights and hair colors. Two years ago, I made the decision to stop counting anything related to my body shape or weight. Pounds if you are American. Stone or Kilos if you’re not. Calories or kilocalories, also depending on the continent from which you hail. Points. Carbs. Fasting hours.

I decided I would eat intuitively, god-dammit, and if I blew up like a balloon and floated up into the heavens, so be it. Obsessing about food and weight had done nothing but make me miserable.
