Excellent article, thanks! Timely, especially as I just had one of my innovations deflated like a balloon puppy in a meeting just before this (by a colleague, not staff, but same impact on me). It did not feel good! Also, I like the "don't add your special sauce" advice. There is a human tendency to want to put your own spin on things when it is better to build people up by letting them do it their way.
