Earnings on Medium will probably never make sense to me as I'm sure the earnings algorithm will change as soon as I figure it out. The goalposts keep moving. That said, I have pretty much the same level of reads and fans as you (perhaps fewer comments) and I have yet to break $10 in a month. If this work fed me, I'd be dead of starvation.

Also, I completely understand the urge to give in and write about earnings. I've thought about it myself but always pulled myself back from the brink. Never say never, though!
