There is more to each of us than this brief, shared instant of time. We’re all going to leave something behind. We want our artifacts to be as vital to understanding the human experience as 3000-year-old pottery shards and bones in an archeological dig.

So, in August, after months of sporadic contributions and a just trickle of claps and follows by and for me, I found myself with more time as I was wrapping up the last class for my degree. Around that time, Medium gifted us the MWC prompts Re-entry and Space.

Challenge accepted.

The Leap

For Re-entry, The Leap.

For Space, 735 Miles. Apparently, not what Natalie Portman had in mind as an MWC judge. Still, it’s my space story, and I’m sticking to it.
