ey can … years. McDonald’s just announced a 10 percent increase in the hourly wage at company-owned stores. Last week I bought the ‘deluxe’ chicken sandwich, fries, and a drink at McD’s for nine bucks. Nine bucks for lunch at McDonald’s? No wonder they can afford to give their hourly workers a raise.

$22 for a pair of filet-of-fish sandwich meals a few weeks ago. We had serious sticker shock, but you're right, if it means a living wage for their employees, I'll pay $10 for a fried fish meatball on a bun any day.
